Finger Foods

Have you ever eaten just finger foods for a meal? I love it! Finger foods are usually a little bigger than your finger. The reason I am writing about this is because my dad and I make dinner for the family every week and this time, we chose finger foods! An example of a finger food is a mini sandwich or little fruit cup. Since you make a lot of finger foods at once, you can get the rhythm to produce it really fast. For instance, I was preparing mini ham, cheese, and lettuce sandwiches held together by toothpicks. In my mind, six words kept repeating themselves: bread, cheese, ham, lettuce, more bread, and toothpick. I felt like I was whipping up ten sandwiches in five seconds! For a chef, that’s very fast!

When you eat finger foods, you take around five to ten of each. There are also five to ten types of finger foods to choose from, so you do have a variety. If you want, you can take out the insides of the finger foods and make your own creation! It’s like a miniature buffet! Here are pictures of the finger foods my dad and I made and also the shopping process:Featured imageFeatured imageFeatured imageFeatured image

Here’s a few questions: what are the vegetables behind me in the picture?
What was on my menu this past Sunday?
What is your favorite tailgate finger food (I love Stanford football)?

I said the next post was going to have a video, but I got confused and the post after this will have one.

I find it disturbing that an 8 year old boy knows what finger foods are. You should be eating hot dogs and Kraft American cheese singles. I think you should fuse foods together and invent the next cronut, kalbi taco, sushi burrito, ice cream sandwich between cookies, the list goes on! I will try anything you make, you’re knowledge of food is awe inspiring!

sure! The zuchinni pizza recipe is easy, just pile a bunch of tomato sauce and parmesan cheese on top, then throw it into the oven. You can also put whatever toppings you like on top too

Nate-what’s in those stuffed peppers? Or is that zucchini (aka courgette in Europe!)? They look delicious! My mom used to make stuffed peppers when I was growing up and I LOVE THEM. If you visit us in Seattle, could you please make one dish for us? Uncle Nick doesn’t eat a lot of carbs, so you’ll have to take his finicky eating habits into account:-)
