London has arrived! Week one has passed and this food lover city is already 9 out of 10 for food. I have tried so many tasty foods and desserts! Some include butter beer at Harry Potter world, Italian steak at a Jamie Oliver restaurant, and yummy, warm, crunchy falafels at a Lebanese restaurant (thanks to my voters who recommended Lebanese food). Standing above all these delicious places I have tried is the Korean restaurant, Jin Juu.
Located in the backstreets of Soho, this creative eatery serves everything from spicy ahi tuna tacos to sweet bulgogi sliders to fresh crispy chicken. I know all of this sounds good, but most of it is probably going into your leftover box because you’ll definitely over order. For example, my mom ordered the signature crispy chicken, but it turned out to be about 85% of a chicken’s whole body fried in oil along with 4 coleslaws. Man was I stuffed! Another yummy dish was the pork mandoo. The juicy meat combined with the crispy golden skin tasted like heaven in my mouth. Just keep in mind that if you do ever order food at Jin Juu, make sure you check the food quantities with the waiters, because you don’t want to go home with a bunch of soggy fried chicken!
I really love this restaurant because I am already starting to miss western style food, but this Korean destination provides an American twist to it’s foods. Since I am in London for quite a long time, Jin Juu seems perfect for me!
In London and wondering what to eat? Just keep in mind that there is always the option of dining at a Korean restaurant in the backstreets of Soho, and this eating house sure is Jin Juu-rific!
I just wanted to share a couple of photos from my dining experiences in London so far!
The first photo (left) is my family and I on a speed boat tour across the River Thames.
The second photo (middle) is the poke and bulgogi beef tacos we enjoyed at Jin Juu.
The third photo (right) is the rice mouse platter we ordered at Jin Juu.
This is only the beginning folks. I will start to write shorter posts from now on to show all of my London food experiences quicker.
