Day 1: Beef Ragu Pasta

Hey everyone (sorry for the late post)! This is the first post of my rapid blog series. Today I cooked a pasta dish for dinner called beef ragu. The recipe was quite simple, but it still tasted very delicious. The tomato based sauce was super flavorful and yummy (think comfort food flavors), which complimented the cubes of beef very well. The recipe below requires you to simmer the beef ragu for 2-2 1/2 hours, but I think that it might be better to go a little longer, because the beef, while still very tender, wasn’t as soft as I thought it would be. My dad even broke his vegan diet to try a piece of the meat!

Overall, I think that my first day wasn’t too bad, considering that I don’t really cook too often (aside from avocado toast in the morning, of course). I definitely recommend making the beef ragu. It was surprisingly straight forward and fun to make, even though I probably messed up around 10 times during the process. Go check it out!

I would recommend that you eat the beef ragu with some shredded parmesan, especially if the sauce is a a little bland.
