Gott’s Roadside

There’s nothing better than a relaxing dinner at Gott’s Roadside after a tiring day. A week ago on Friday, after an exhausting football practice and a long day of school, my friends, Daniele and Alessandro, and I went to Gott’s Roadside for dinner and it was absolutely fabulous! I ordered a Cobb salad (my favorite) to share with my dad as well as a burger including bleu cheese, a patty, an onion ring, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and some avocado. Boy was I stuffed afterwards! I nearly even finished my burger and half the Cobb salad.

Located on El Camino Real and very near Stanford University, Gott’s Roadside is a very casual restaurant with a nice view and cool breezes coming in and out of their colorful paned windows. I personally love to sit outside because the view of the sunset is so beautiful! Gott’s Roadside has a huge variety of food ranging from ahi poke tacos to classic cheese burgers to juicy salads. From my experience at Gott’s Roadside so far, here are my top 4 dining suggestions:

  1. Ahi Poke Tacos
Description: A crunchy taco shell with ahi poke, sesame seeds, avocado, poppy seeds, green onions, an Asian dressing for the ahi poke, and some lettuce garnished on top.
  2. Cobb Salad
Description: Bacon, boiled eggs, avocado, bleu cheese, tomatoes, chicken, and balsamic oil dressing on top of fresh lettuce. If you are a fan of more crunchy salads, ask for less dressing because the chefs put about a pound of balsamic oil on the Cobb salad!
  3. Texas Burger
Description: Basically just a plain cheese burger with all the veggies (lettuce, tomato,  etc.) and a little avocado too. If you don’t like salty things, this burger is for you!
  4. Onion Rings
Description: Just plain old onion rings (but real crispy too)!

On average, if your family likes American food, casual restaurants, and a nice cool breeze in the afternoon, Gott’s Roadside definitely is for you!

I love Gott’s Roadside! I’ve been there a handful of times with friends. We always split the sweet potato fries, which are a personal favorite of mine. Next time I go I will have to try to Ahi Poke Tacos. It sounds delicious!

ok, I know it has nothing to do with food and I am guessing was not instrumental to your article but… you are playing football now? What position? How do you like it?

The offensive coordinator for Nate’s team is out scheming the other 4th grade defenses. Rumor has it that Chip Kelly is intrigued with Nate’s coach for the OC position in SF
