This post might be a bit repetitive, but I just had to write about another great home dish, as you can tell from the title. Think to yourself. Have you ever remade a dish for dinner because it was so tasty at lunch? Recently, my mom did just that with the Grilled Chicken Salad from the True Foods Kitchen in Palo Alto.
I don’t know where to start…
I guess I should tell you about the standout unique part of this meal. When you think of a salad, you don’t usually think of something sweet. But the truth is, adding a little sweetness to a salad actually makes it taste really good. It’s kind of like when you get salted caramel ice cream! The apples, dates, pear dressing, and cranberries were really great choices to add sweetness to this amazing dish.
The best part of this salad is that there are so many toppings. I found it quite tasty even without the dressing. Sometimes salads can be “under-topped” so you find yourself just eating lettuce after a while. The salad my mom made was the complete opposite. There was about 60 percent toppings and 40 percent lettuce. I just had to get seconds. I mean, never miss an opportunity to eat more of the best salad you will have ever tried.
I sincerely do feel that The Grilled Chicken Salad is on my top three salads. You should definitely try it. It’s actually not too hard to make as well. I would eat it every chance I could. It’s diverse, flavorful, sweet, and… another great home dish.
