London!

Have you ever been to London? My family and I are going this summer for about 1 month for an epic experience! Of course there are many interesting activities to explore in this famous place, including the London Eye, Chunnel to Paris, Big Ben (very famous tower in London), Harry Potter World, Medieval Castles, and the important bridges that connect London together. That’s not ALL London has to offer. What am I forgetting? The food, of course! Since my family and I haven’t been to London, we are open to food suggestions. I have heard from my dad that London food is based on potatoes, but I am hoping that is not the case.

Last summer my family and I traveled to Rome, Venice, and Greece for a fun vacation. You can tell that I have sort of got the idea of what European food tastes like, but who knows, London could be very different! I have heard of a few great dishes to try in London:

  1. Mash and Pie
Description: Basically a savory pie with yummy goodies inside, but topped off with a layer of mashed potatoes. Yum!
  2. Fish and Chips
Description: Fish of any type, pan seared, rubbed with spices, and serves with mushy peas, lemon juice, and of course some chips.
  3. Eton Mess
Description: Meringue any flavor, with pie crust, ice cream, whipped cream, and fresh fruit topping it off.

These are only some suggestions, so I want to know: What are your restaurant recommendations and tips for London? I am open to anything, so send those tips in!

Also, please fill out my poll, thanks!

Hi Nate, I have been to London many times and I am looking forward to seeing you in London soon. Also, my dad says that some of the best food in London is made by my grandpa’s butler, Bindin. Best wishes, Max.

Wow, what a treat! Does your grandpa’s butler give you free discounts for his food?

Sorry, Nate! Although I was in London many, many years ago, I don’t remember much about the food at all. Maybe that says something! I hope you and Sophie and your parents have a great time! I can’t wait to hear all about it.
