Hot? Try These.

on

Man, what a hot week it has been. I mean, yesterday I think the sun stayed out till 8:45 P.M and guess what, it was still decently hot! Not saying that my first go to option is food when I am hot, but I would like to share some tasty foods that might cool you off when it is literally 80-90+ degrees outside.

  1. Teaspoon
Description: Sometimes I kind of get tired and lazy when out in the hot sun. Try Teaspoon, which serves both boba tea and shaved ice! This location is on the El Camino Real and San Antonio intersection. Although shaved ice might sound like a better option, I prefer boba tea because its unique flavors can cool me off in seconds as well as wake me up if I get sleepy. With one of these and the AC on, I will almost feel cold by the time I get home.
  2. Homemade Salad
Description: If you didn’t know, I eat a lot of salad at school when it is hot, and not just because it tastes good. Salad isn’t heated, so it is the perfect lunch option for scorching days.
  3. Fruit
Description: Fruit has it all. A natural sweetness, a variety of textures, and a cold refreshing feeling. After coming back from a hard soccer practice or an intense recess, swallowing a few pieces will get you back into cooler state.

Even though it is blazing hot out, I still hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather. Go and try these foods if you have time because trust me, when you’re hot, you’re gonna want them.
