Here I am again! Back in Hawaii. First of all, I hope all of you had a fantastic April Fools Day and Easter. Where I am at in Honolulu, nothing can be better! As a special Easter holiday brunch, my grandmother’s local club hosted a brunch with enough food to feed a whole city. Trust me, once you see the pictures, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
As a participant in the weekly “normal brunch” hosted at Waialae (the club), I already knew the food was going to be super yummy. But when I took a look at the huge buffet menu for this special event, I knew I was in for one of the biggest treats of my life.
When my family and I stepped into the cool, air conditioned hallway that lead to the tables, I could smelled food heaven. A mix of sweet and salty twisted through the air. More than 25 different foods with unique scents wafted through the perfect morning setting. I saw the prime rib and it called out to me, telling my mind that it was the best. Honestly though, everything was the best. I didn’t have one single bad experience with the meal. The food was simply exquisite.
Trying to eat with at least a little control, I realized that not having seconds was like not opening any presents during your birthday. As a foodie, I might have had 3 or 4 plates that day (I lost count). Anyways, the message is that I was absolutely overwhelmed by the tasty food. The Waialae Country club to this day remains my favorite brunch ever as an indescribable, perfect meal and also my Spring Break favorite.

Enjoy your vacation Nate. Don’t forget the malasadas!!
